If selecting hair in Photoshop wasn't infamous enough, imagine how notorious it can be to select hair where there is no contrast between the hair and the background! Yes, we are talking about masking either dark hair on a dark background or lighter hair on a bright background. Is it possible? Definitely! There is hope here. In this tutorial, we will learn how to manually cut out beautiful hair no matter what the situation or the background conditions are. Using advanced hair brushes, we will learn how to actually paint back the hair edge, and then with other varieties of dense and open brushes, we will make the hair masking look natural and realistic.
